Civil Engineering

The degree programme teaches students to become civil engineers in an application-oriented way, who are able to complete a wide-spread field of tasks and problems arising in civil engineering and the environment thanks to theoretical and practical knowledge. It is oriented towards the expectations and requirements of the labour market. The degree programme’s goal is to qualify graduates through excellent education to work in structural engineering offices, construction firms, and public administration. For this purpose, students are to receive a qualification based on expertise and the requirements of applied sciences, which enables them to autonomously fulfil the whole spectrum of work in civil engineering. Students learn to work in a solution-oriented and interdisciplinary way. The ability to work as a team is promoted. Furthermore, students will be able to work effectively on tasks in the context of increasing globalisation.
